The farms where coffee cherries are processed at Muhororo Coffee Station of Gasharu Coffee are located on the shores of Lake Kivu near the Rwanda Congo Nile Mountain Chain. This region's elevation, soil and climate are what coffee trees prefer best.
This lot is the result of the curiosity to explore new methods of natural processes to attain the best flavors and characteristics.
Throughout the year, Gasharu Coffee Ltd holds small group meetings with coffee farmers to catch up on life, discuss farming challenges and advise on opportunities. The processing at the washing station is carried out by young coffee farmers while the sorting on tables by slightly older coffee farmers, mainly women, providing them with more income.
